2014

2014 is looking to be a very exciting year for me, I got big plans! There's a book project and a kickstarter campaign to fund it, to be unleashed mid year or so. This is very exciting as it will be a big step towards further developing my own personal projects, of which I have many! My car project should be finished this year, that's going to be a lot of work, but the end result should be more than worth it! I also have a bunch of great freelance design jobs on, and more coming (as well as work with Weta of course), I'll be showing some of the work from one of them real soon, it's fun stuff! So 2014 will be a very busy and action packed year, watch this space! Cheers!

  2. That is good to hear. Let us know when the book is out, a new addition is always welcome, especially when it's from an alien like you.

  9. Damn, these images are rad. Wish we could see the full things. In decent quality, at least. I did notice these two in the Carbon image compilation. Absolutely awesome, but would love to be able to look over all the awesome details. At the very least, I'd like to hear the specifications. Your ideas are amazing, and the art and descriptions give me great inspiration for the things I design, so at the very least, I'd love to read the design details of these two.

    1. Comment for some reason stopped working, so I had to finish it with a reply, but:

I believe the first robot is an expansion on the Devil Helix Viper, seeing the 28th Div. thing on the shoulder of this new dude, as well as the DHV acronym. From what I could discern from the Carbon comp, he appears to have a large backpack with a shoulder-mounted autocannon, a radome, some missile(?) pods, a shotgun, and an exterior exoskeleton, rather than implanted mechanical augmentation. He's also rocking some banging shorts with a harness, and some sort of head gear.

    2. These comments keep failing... Final reply:

The second image seems to be of a modular robot with 6 sort of pylons(?) to attach arms to, as well as a head fitted with some sort of reactive armor/missile pod systems, and a chest mounted strap attached to some sort of railgun. He seems to have some gear on his shoulders too. I remember on episode 19 of the Collective Podcast (which you were on), you talked about drawing up some modular robots if I remember correctly, though the details are fuzzy as I haven't listened to that in years :P.
